I think the design is okay, but then i have no clue what to do on the site , its just a complete and utter mess …

  3. Frank Says:

  4. Chen Says:

I think it is beautiful and engaging. Really good work. I explored it for over 10 minutes.

  5. James Says:

    i like it

  6. Johnnie Says:

This site is brilliant. It’s a perfect representation of modern American sensibilities — wry, absurdist wit; an interesting meandering menagerie and a strong social conscience. LOVE IT.

  7. Cal Says:

Okay , i dont understand people , cause the navigation is a mess . People who write words like wry , adsurdist wit , meandering menagerie would never sell to a client ,… this sites confusing and serves little purpose

  8. Will Says:

I agree with Frank. This site is a total mess. I can’t control it. I try to read something and then it disappears. Frustrating! …but cute.

I think this Unscrew America site was designed to appeal to folks with short attention span (myself included). When I stumbled upon it, I felt intrigued and compelled to explore and click the many doodads on the site. It felt a bit like an adventure game at times, rather than a boring environment advocacy site. I liked the music of the World Above and went in search of its creator, which led me to finding this site.

It is possible that the design of the site was influenced by targeted factors such the viewers’ age demographics and certain level of UI fluency.
