Jury review of Aaradhy Badjatya
A developer portfolio from a young founder, styled with editorial typography, technical contact-sheet numbering, and audio-led storytelling.
Aaradhy Badjatya's portfolio pairs teenage ambition with a remarkably disciplined editorial identity. Built on Astro, the site eschews standard developer template tropes in favour of an experience framed by experimental audio cues, technical index nomenclature, and candid, wry storytelling. The underlying code demonstrates solid craft, featuring clean landmark regions, full button labelling, and responsive accessibility primitives like reduced-motion rules. While introductory audio gates and narrative scrollytelling sequences risk hindering quick scanning for recruiters, the voice and structural ambition stand out far above conventional portfolio sites.
What the jury loved
- Rich, distinctive personal voice and clear editorial art direction.
- Solid technical foundation built on Astro with full semantic landmark structure.
- Thoughtful inclusion of reduced-motion styles and accessible link/button labels.
