Jury review of Tom Riddle’s Diary
An atmospheric, Harry Potter-inspired interactive experiment simulating Tom Riddle's diary with sound and ink mechanics.
Tom Riddle’s Diary is a conceptual, interactive web experiment translating a familiar literary artifact into an in-browser dialogue. Driven by audio cues and dynamic ink reveals, the experience aims for atmospheric immersion. However, the reliance on heavy client-side generation leaves initial structural markup sparse. With only basic semantic landmarks and no reduced-motion affordances in place, the technical foundation requires refinement to match the intended storytelling depth.
What the jury loved
- Compelling thematic concept that translates narrative source material into interactive web mechanics.
- Lean page weight with fast initial time-to-first-byte (148 ms).
